Internet technician walks into home of blind boy and his actions melt mom’s heart

When you need help with an issue around your home – typically you call a company and hope they can get someone out quickly. But while the person usually helps fix the problem, it’s not every day that their actions melt your heart.
One South Carolina mom was blown away by her internet technician’s kindness. She posted her story online and it’s since brought a smile to people’s faces.

A Spectrum Internet technician ended up changing the family’s day around. The mother of the family, Jessica Nash Donnahoo, took to Facebook to share her particularly heart-warming experience. The technician named Robert was stopping by the family’s house to upgrade their internet and get their TV streaming started. It shouldn’t have been too big of a deal, right?

Except that family was actually having a not-so-great day. He actually kind of walked into a mess.In her Facebook post, Jessica explained:“My son, Sailor, is three years old. He was born with two rare brain defects and he is blind.”The mom continued to explain that Sailor isn’t able to communicate his needs, and on that day in particular he was having a really tough time.

She tried to help him while also taking on several other household tasks — taking care of her daughter, cleaning, doing laundry, etc, all while her husband is at work.It was a giant help to the exhausted mom.“Robert could have walked in, rushed, and left but instead he saw a need greater than internet and met it. That’s beyond customer service- it’s humanity at its best. Robert deserves a raise… a promotion… something! He’s an asset to your company and I will never forget his kindness.

”We definitely agree that Robert deserves acknowledgment after this wonderful act, and it seems like the rest of the world agrees.Jessica’s Facebook racked up hundreds of thousands of “likes” and shares. Everyone was in agreement about just how sweet this was.Robert, who’s a parent himself, told FOX Carolina News:

“I didn’t really know that it was having as big of an impact as it did. I didn’t look at him as a child with special needs or anything like that, any type of disability. He was just a kid that wanted to be picked up, and as a father, that wasn’t a problem to me.”Isn’t this just the nicest story? As parents, we could all use a little help sometimes and it’s a blessing when you actually receive it.
